Places (Cities)
Each city has its own soul or ethos. As humans, cities have their histories, the times they were born, developed, formed their identities and character. By studying cities we can learn so much more not only about the people that live in them but also about humans as distinct creatures who are capable of rationally structuring and esthetically designing their dwelling places.
Wherever I go, I like to observe and notice things - the monuments and architecture that the locals choose to build and keep; the characteristic style of the exterior and interior designs of the buildings; the materials used to construct them; the ratio of houses, roads, parks and squares; the density of population; the preferred types of transportation; the smell; many other little and yet very important things about cities.
